Freetown Community Electricity Aggregation is an electricity supply program offered by the Town of Freetown to provide residents and businesses with new, Town-vetted options for electricity supply. Eversource continues to deliver your electricity, repair power outages, and maintain the electricity grid; they also send you one bill for the electricity you used.

Notices about the program:
Please keep in mind that future savings cannot be guaranteed because Eversource Basic Service rates change every six months for residential and commercial customers and every three months for industrial customers.
Newly eligible customers will receive a Customer Notification Letter detailing the program and ways to leave the program (opt out); those who choose not to opt out will be automatically enrolled.
Customers who have chosen a third-party supplier will not receive a Customer Notification Letter and will not be automatically enrolled. They can voluntarily join the program, but they may be subject to penalties or early termination fees from the third-party supplier if they switch to the electricity program during the term of their contract with their chosen supplier.
Those who do not want to participate in Freetown CEA can opt out without penalty or change to a different program option at any time on the program website masscea /Freetown or by calling the supplier Constellation at 833-461-0813.

As communities across the country have sought to take more control over their energy costs and usage, Community Electricity Aggregation has become increasingly popular. In Massachusetts, CEA is also known as "municipal aggregation" and was made possible by utility deregulation in the late 1990s. CEA is a process whereby a municipality or, in this case, multiple municipalities, aggregate the electrical load of residents and businesses within their jurisdictional boundaries to purchase electricity in bulk in the competitive market.
The CEA program does not affect the delivery of electric service. Any problems with electric service, including outages, should continue to be reported to Eversource at 800-592-2000.
