GES new battery generation based on a hybrid hydrogen-liquid technology comes from the intersection of R&D, engineering, and product design, to overcome the state of the art of the existing storage systems. Based on proprietary patents, the hydrogen battery is a technology platform which enables the exploitation of a hybrid gas-liquid architecture to enlarge the range of solutions.

Building the storage of the future means preserving sustainability along the whole process: for this reason, we develop green chemistries based on abundant and no critical active materials that are easily accessible and characterized by low environmental impact. Besides, GES battery is designed on circular economy and recyclability principles to facilitate end of life management and material reuse.

Thanks to the peculiar technological features and the capability to work at room temperature, GES battery provides a high level of safety. Due to its non-corrosive and non-toxic chemistry, the battery doesn''t require anti-corrosion materials.

GES stationary storage systems are characterized by the independence between the power and the energy module, offering the possibility to design battery storage solution adapted to the final application requirements. Besides, the modular structure of the systems permits to scale the entire system up to megawatt sized solutions.

With a forecasted number of cycles above 12.000 (15-20 years life cycle) and the use of accessible and easily disposable components, our storage system provides long life high performances and a competitive Levelized Cost of Storage (LCOS). Compared to traditional flow batteries, a single electrolyte is an advantage in terms of production cost (halved quantity of raw material).

Since 2015, we built a unique and effective know-how in the development of fully green innovative stationary storage systems.

Today, thanks to our research method and technology platform based on proprietary knowledge, we are acknowledged among the key players of Energy Storage, and we will strengthen our positioning through the IPCEI for the European Battery Innovation program grant.

Green Gravity’s technology raises and lowers heavy weights in a mine shaft to capture and release the gravitational energy of the weights.

Provides short or mid duration storage or grid ancillary services.

Low noise, small land use, no water, chemicals, or destruction of farmland. Our technology can be fully recycled, unlike battery options.

Locally sourced materials, supply chain and workforce create economic value in the local community.

Offering attractive economics due to reuse of infrastructure, high efficiency, low operating and maintenance costs and long life of the asset.

Our system does not degrade, meaning we invest once to match long run energy security needs, avoiding the costly performance degradation of batteries.

Radically accelerating the world''s renewable transition

Renewable energy, such as wind and solar power, need to be available even when the wind is not blowing, or the sun is not shining.

Peak production of green energy occurs during midday, while the highest demand of energy occurs in the afternoon and evening.

Today the energy systems are largely reliant on fossil fuels, leading to great vulnerability and enormous environmental impact.

Throughout the development of TEXEL and its various technological solutions, the central theme has been energy, with a focus on thermal energy and the capability to convert this into electricity. This has opened up a vast array of potential business areas for the company. There is a constant effort to evaluate these opportunities, which include energy storage from heat to heat, energy storage from heat to a combination of heat and electricity (CHP), combustion and conversion to heat and electricity of various biofuels, wood pellets, wood chips, and waste gases, as well as the conversion of industrial waste heat into energy.

TEXEL''s Energy Storage technology is being developed with scalability and near-complete recyclability in mind. It is designed to operate without consuming Earth''s precious resources or rare earth minerals. Our system is distinguished by its minimal cyclic degradation, capable of storing energy for centuries with negligible losses. As a result, it meets not only today''s energy storage needs but also acts as a safeguard for the long-term availability of minerals. This establishes TEXEL''s solution as a strategic investment for the future, moving beyond traditional costs and the perpetual demand for supply.

TEXEL has established itself as a global frontrunner in the realm of Stirling technology. Renowned for its scalability, this technology adeptly converts heat into electricity with high energy efficiency. It serves as a versatile solution in numerous applications, propelling the ongoing energy transition. Particularly in areas bereft of existing technological solutions, TEXEL''s Stirling technology is paving the way for a sustainable future.

TEXEL''s unique Stirling technology efficiently converts waste heat from sources like industrial processes, landfills, or gas flaring in the petroleum industry into electricity. This system excels at utilizing low-quality gases by harnessing thermal energy, offering a scalable and reliable solution for waste heat management. In doing so, TEXEL contributes to cleaner and more sustainable energy production, reducing environmental impact while leveraging previously untapped energy resources.

TEXEL was founded through the acquisition of the rights to a unique Stirling engine technology, originally developed by Ford Motors in collaboration with the military submarine manufacturer Kockums. This acquisition formed the cornerstone of TEXEL''s innovative approach. Shortly after, TEXEL broadened its technological portfolio by acquiring Stirling Energy Systems and Maricopa Solar in Arizona, fostering a fruitful collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy''s (DOE) Solar Laboratory, SANDIA National Laboratory.

Building on these strategic partnerships, TEXEL established an exclusive collaboration with Savannah River National Laboratory (SRNL) and Curtin University in Perth, Australia. TEXEL''s development strategy has also been marked by a series of acquisitions, including the main assets of two Nasdaq-listed companies. These additions further align with TEXEL''s long-term objectives for sustainable energy solutions.
