I had a fun run-in with one of Top Tier solar solutions' door to door salesmen rst, he seemed alright, friendly, cautious, etc. Then the red flags started popping up.
When I said "We're not interested/we're not buying" he doubled down on saying he wasn't selling anything, just informing us that Duke Energy is raising the rates by $20-40.
He wasn't selling anything....right? Except obviously offering you to sign up for solar and take out a $30k loan.
I put on my polite/firm voice and told him to leave - please leave - several times, as he caught me when I pulled into my driveway and it wasn't as simple as shutting the door on him. He stared at me like a deer in headlights and then continued on his rant about how he wasn't selling anything and only informing. All the while, I double down on telling him "We'll look into it" since I already knew the company from his shirt logo.
I e-mailed the company to ask them what they were actually offering our neighborhood other than "Duke Energy's raising the rates! But we're not selling anything or soliciting!" and they haven't replied, it's been over a week.
How have your run-ins been with them so far? Their reviews generally seem good. But their fear-based sales approach and "we're not soliciting or selling anything so we won't leave and we'll be stubborn about it" tactics were ridiculous.

Describing each step before hand, The nicest group of people to work with. The insulation of the solar system, was installed by professionals and took only a few hours.

Currently in the same boat with my grandmother, they''ve yet to get a city inspection, nor file an interconnection metering form with the power company, and it''s been going on 5 months now and the panels aren''t even turned on yet since April. My sister had solar panels from a different company they got theirs installed and operational in 6 weeks!
