MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – RECOM Company, which specializes in renewable sources of energy, will increase its capacity by investing in the production of photovoltaic modules in Belarus, BelTA learned from the company''s website.

A joint project is being implemented at a site located 2km away from the Minsk National Airport. The factory with the output capacity of 300MW in PV modules per annum will be commissioned in late October 2019.

According to RECOM CEO Hamlet Tunyan, the factory will utilize the latest technologies to make top-quality products. The project focuses mainly on European markets as well as markets of the USA and Asia.

According to the source, the factory will open up new opportunities for the development of solar energy industry in Belarus. "We believe this will contribute to the spread of the culture of renewable energy in Belarus too, diversify their energy mix, and of course, create jobs in the economy," Hamlet Tunyan is quoted as saying.

RECOM Company is registered in Germany and cooperates with manufacturers from all over the globe. Sales offices are located in Europe, countries of America, Asia, and the Middle East. ZAO RecomBel, which is a resident company of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, is in charge of implementing the project from the Belarusian side.

In the simplest terms, manufacturing is the process of producing actual goods or items/products through the use of raw materials, human labour, use of machinery, tools and other processes such as chemical formulation. This process usually starts with product designing and raw material selection, turning them into an actual product output.

In terms of solar, manufacturing encompasses the fabrication or production of materials across the solar market chain. The most common product being manufactured by solar companies are the solar photovoltaic (PV) panels, which are made with several subcomponents such as solar wafers, cells, glass, back sheets, and frames. Before a solar panel comes into life, it will undergo a lot of processes, from designing, modelling, choosing what raw materials to use and then assembling them all to make the final product.

Aside from the solar panels, solar companies have many other manufactured products that are required to make solar energy systems work smoothly, like solar inverters, batteries, combiner boxes, and racking and tracking structures.

Having a solar manufacturing sector makes a big difference in supplying affordable solar energy in different areas. Aside from maintaining the rising domestic and global demand for cleaner and renewable energy, they also help the economy grow, particularly the solar industry. If you are in search of a reliable solar manufacturing company, checking out our solar outsourcing company, SolarFeeds, would help you get easy access to reliable information, news, data and a list of solar manufacturers that can help you with solar products.

Let goes come to you instead of running around requesting quotes.

The second largest solar plant in Belarus is located in the village of Polykovichi in the Mogilev region. Its owner, sole proprietor Mr Zharinov, has been one of the active renewable energy developers in Belarus.

Mr Zharinov applied for BelSEFF financing for the construction of an on-ground 1.7 MW solar photovoltaic unit.

The BelSEFF team assessed the project idea, energy generation potential, technical-financial parameters, implementation schedule and risks of the project.

The €2.2 million loan allowed the company to generate 1,600 MWh per year. All the produced electricity is supplied into the grid, thus the company benefits from the feed-in tariff for renewable energy.

The investment will be repaid in slightly over six years. What is more important is that the investment creates an independent and renewable energy source for the region and the country, allowing diversification of the country''s energy balance and enhanced energy independence. In addition, the project allows a reduction of CO2 emissions by a substantial 770 tonnes of CO2 per year, making a valuable contribution to the mitigation of the negative effects of human activity on the climate.

Renewable energy and solar energy in particular has become a trend in Belarus, with more and more companies investing in solar installations and selling energy into the grid. Although this sector is still at the initial development stage, the direction chosen is highly perspective. BelSEFF is present on the market to support with financing and advisory packages.
