Belgrade Airport, part of the VINCI Airports network since 2018, has pioneered the world''s first complimentary, off-grid solar charging for electric vehicles. In collaboration with Beam Global, the airport has positioned five EV ARC™ solar charging units in its Premium Parking P1 area, allowing passengers and visitors to power their vehicles using solar energy. This effort aligns with VINCI Airports'' dedication to reducing carbon emissions across the mobility sector while ensuring top-tier service quality for travelers.

Each charging station is capable of powering two vehicles at once, making it ideal for busy locations like Belgrade Airport.The initiative marks a significant step forward in Serbia''s development of sustainable infrastructure and underscores Belgrade Airport''s commitment to innovation and environmental responsibility. The airport supports these goals with various projects, including using solar energy produced onsite, cultivating green spaces, recycling waste, and fostering biodiversity.

BELGRADE AIRPORT, a member of VINCI Airports and the operator of the Nikola Tesla airport, put into operation a solar plant that provides the airport with electricity obtained from renewable sources. The new solar plant will produce approximately 1,130,000 kWh of green electricity annually, which is comparable to the annual consumption of about 430 households. In this manner, the airport''s CO2 emissions (scope 1 & 2) will be decreased by 900 tons per year.

The solar plant is located near the airport complex, on the road to Surčin, next to the new Tesla car park, and it consists of nearly 3,000 photovoltaic panels spread over a plateau of 15,900 m2 that convert sunlight into electric energy.

This initiative is part of VINCI Airports'' global efforts towards bringing about the environmental and energy transition. VINCI Airports is the first airport operator to have committed to an international environmental strategy in 2016. It has already reduced its carbon footprint by 28 % since 2018, notably by installing solar farms on its network of airports, already reaching 30MWpv of photovoltaic power in operation.

Since 2018, we have been implementing a number of environmental projects such as a natural gas heating plant, solid waste processing plant and wastewater treatment plant. In November 2020, the BELGRADE AIRPORT company joined the Airport Carbon Accreditation Program (ACA) and Nikola Tesla Airport received Level 1 Certificate, while the process for Level 2 Certificate is in progress. Furthermore, an initiative is launched to implement 50001 standard on energy efficiency, which will place BELGRADE AIRPORT among the few companies in the country that have complied their processes with the requirements of this standard.

Beam Global (BEEM) has announced its first sponsorship deal with Globos Osiguranje to deploy five EV ARC™ solar-powered charging stations at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport. This three-way partnership, including VINCI Airports, marks Beam''s entry into an owner-operator business model, generating recurring revenue through long-term sponsorship payments. The charging stations, located in the P1 Prime car park nearest to the terminal, provide free public EV charging without utility costs or construction requirements. This model enables Beam to secure favorable economic terms on parking spaces while maintaining ownership of the systems, creating a sustainable revenue stream without typical operating costs.

This first-of-its-kind sponsorship deal represents a significant strategic pivot for Beam Global, introducing a new owner-operator business model that could substantially impact their revenue structure. The agreement with Globos Osiguranje for five EV ARC™ systems creates a long-term recurring revenue stream with favorable economics, as the solar-powered nature eliminates typical operational costs like electricity.

The partnership with VINCI Airports, which operates 70+ airports globally, opens substantial expansion opportunities. The zero-construction deployment model is particularly attractive for 24/7 operations like airports, addressing a key market pain point. This could lead to rapid scaling of the sponsorship model across VINCI's network and beyond, potentially transforming Beam's revenue model from one-time sales to predictable recurring income.

In order to facilitate this sponsored Driving on Sunshine initiative, Beam Global previously secured an agreement with Belgrade Airport, part of VINCI Airports, an operator of over 70 airports in 14 nations across the globe, to operate the network in prime locations at Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport with further cooperation with VINCI Airports to be considered.

Five solar-powered EV ARC™ units are now deployed for public EV charging at the Belgrade Airport. Each off-grid unit can charge multiple vehicles at once, making it a resilient and sustainable solution for the airport''s high-traffic environment. The systems are positioned in P1, Prime, the closest car park to the terminal building.
